I've been a bit quiet lately and haven't updated the blog at all - I went to Sichuan province in China for holiday (here are some photos as evidence), and so it's the usual mad rush before the holidays with work etc.... and then since I got back it's been a nightmare at home.

The trip was OK - the hotels were rather sub-standard really..... Interesting to see the pandas in the breeding centre in Chengdu. Leshan Giant Buddha was more like a circus, with so many tourists pushing each other around. Sanxingdui's bronze statues were amazing. The ancient irrigation system at Dujiangyan was educational and inspirational. Jiuzhaigou, well, the scenary was spectacular - just way too many tourists not respecting each other. And a shame that I didn't get to Huanglong because of the snow.....
